A natureza inquieta de Abdul Halim (The restless nature of Abdul Halim)

A Arte Contemporânea, ou Arte de “Vanguarda”, sugere o moderno, o original, é questionadora e amante da polêmica. É a arte que busca surpreender. Pode estabelecer um diálogo com o público e levá-lo a pensar. Por isso, nesta semana, o blog fez uma conexão com Bangladesh e conheceu o trabalho do artista plástico Abdul Halim, formado em pintura e design pela University of Development Alternative (UODA), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Esse artista contemporâneo reúne em seus trabalhos criatividade, habilidade e, principalmente, sensibilidade, expressando-se com as mais variadas técnicas, como: grafite, acrílico e técnicas digitais, em ilustrações para livros, camisetas e campanhas publicitárias.

Contemporary Art or "Cutting Edge" Art suggests the modern, the original. It is questioning and a controversy lover. It is the art that seeks surprise. It can establish a dialogue with the public and leads it to think. That’s why this week this post makes a connection to Bangladesh to know better the work of the artist Abdul Halim, graduated in painting and design at the University of Development Alternative (UODA), Dhaka, Bangladesh. This contemporary artist combines in his work creativity, technical skills and, especially, sensitivity, expressing himself with the most varied techniques such as graphite, acrylic and digital techniques in illustration for books, T-shirts and advertising campaigns.

O que mais me chamou a atenção, foi a sequência de trabalhos em que surge na tela um convite para a natureza participar de sua obra. Em cada superfície, a representação de troncos de árvores caídas é retratada de uma maneira muito significativa, fazendo uma fusão, uma mescla do ser humano com a natureza. Acredito que o objetivo é dar ao observador uma reflexão cinzenta e expressiva de um ambiente em extinção. A imagem é uma referência tanto da força da natureza como da fraqueza da humanidade, simbolizando a hibridação daquele que nos dá, com aquele que destrói.

What caught my attention was the sequence of works in which appear an invitation for nature to participate in his work. In each surface the representation of the trunks of fallen trees is portrayed in a very significant way, producing a merge, a mixture of man with nature. I believe that the artist’s main intention is to give the viewer a gray and expressive reflection of an endangered environment. The image is a reference to both the force of nature and the weakness of humanity, symbolizing the hybridization of the one that gives and the one who destroys.

Neste mês de setembro, acontece a 8ª exposição de arte internacional em Tokyo, Japão, a Kahal, feira internacional de Artes que tenta manter a história da arte e da vida, e também trabalha para a troca cultural entre Bangladesh e Japão.

Uma das obras de Abdul Halim foi escolhida para participar da exposição.

This month (September) happens the 8th International Art Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan, the Kahal International Art Fair, that tries to keep alive the history of art and life, and also works for the cultural exchange between Bangladesh and Japan.

And one of Abdul 's works was chosen to participate in the exhibition.
